How To Compare Survey Versions

Overview

By comparing the versions of an existing survey to an old version of the survey you are able to easily spot differences between them. This is useful in cases where you need to compare past versions of the script and understand what changes were made.

There are two ways to perform this:

  1. Option 1: Compare the survey version through the project’s tree.
  2. Option 2: Compare the survey version through an interview.

     

Option 1: Compare the survey version through the project’s tree.

First, what you need to do is to right click on the survey you want to compare and select the “Older Versions…” option.

Then, simply select the two versions and click on “Compare Versions”.

You can also select an older version of the survey and compare it to the current version by clicking on “Compare To Latest Version”.

A split screen will open comparing the older version on the left and the newer version on the right.

Questions that changes were performed on in the latest version will be marked.


Option 2: Compare the survey version through an interview.

When viewing an interview that was performed with an older version of the survey you can click on the survey version of the interview to immediately compare it to the latest version of the survey:
