Overview
When designing a survey you would normally first script the questionnaire. Besides the script itself there are many additional settings that you can configure a survey with to determine its behavior when in the field. Most of those settings are configured through the Survey Properties.
The following guide will describe the meaning of each option in the Survey Properties.
Please note: You can set these properties for all your surveys in your organization
- Right click on the Organization Name and choose 'Organization Properties'
- Navigate to 'Default Survey Properties' tab to enable the relevant options

By default, once a result gets filtered, a pop-up message will come up informing the interview closure – this cancels this prompt pop-up message. |

Do not start interview if Quotas are full |
Enable if you do not want the interview to start if all the quotas are full |
|
Invisible in List |
This will cause the survey to not be visible to the surveyors on the survey selection screen. Commonly used when working with child surveys when needing the child surveys to not be visible, but be opened only through the parent survey. |

Prompt for user comment when saving survey |
This will pop up a window whenever the survey is saved (in the studio) asking to add a comment describing the changes made in the survey. The comments are visble in the "older versions" window of the survey |

Prompt On Cancel |
Will prompt a pop-up warning message before you cancel a result and require you to accept or cancel the action. (Only in PC) |

Prompt On Filter |
Will prompt a pop-up warning message before you filter a result and require you to accept or cancel the action. (Only in PC) |

Hides the back button, during a survey run, disabling the possibility to go back to a previous page in the survey once continued. |

| Allow Delete Of Incomplete Interviews Only | Tick this option if you would like to allow the surveyor to delete incomplete interviews. |
| Allow Fast Subject Switching On Clients | Enables fast switching between interviews – allowing the interviewer to conduct parallel interviews rather than conducting them in serial mode. |
| Disallow Delete Results On Clients | By default, a surveyor can delete results from his device that are not yet uploaded to the server – this disables this feature and doesn’t allow surveyors to delete results from their device. |
| Disallow previewing surveys | By default a surveyor can view the survey questionnaire, when this is enabled he will not be able to do so. |
| Disallow Viewing Incomplete Interviews | Tick this option if you do not want to allow the surveyor to view incomplete interviews. |
| Disallow Viewing Interviews | By default a surveyor can view the completed interviews (if they were not uploaded automatically), when this is enabled he will not be able to do so. |
| Do Not Allow Early Completion | By default, results that have been saved and not completed, can be set as completed by the surveyor and be uploaded to the server – this disables this features and doesn’t allow early completion. |
| Do Not Allow To Modify (Completed Results) | By default, completed results can be accessed again by the surveyor and be modified – this disables this feature and doesn’t allow a surveyor to modify a completed result. |
| Do Not Show Collect Multimedia Button | Disables the ‘Attachment’ button, disallowing surveyor to view the multimedia attachments they have collected during the interview |
| Do not show 'Quota' tab on Device | When enabled the surveyor will not be able to see the Quota tab on the device. |
| Hide Child Survey Menu/Button | Disables the ‘Child Survey’ button within the running survey, disallowing a surveyor to open an attached child survey by himself. |
