What is the Broken Reference Alert?

Overview

When opening a survey in the STG studio the following message might appear:

 This message indicates that you have a broken reference in you script, meaning a reference to a question in the script that currently does not reference any question.

This can happen when removing questions for example.

If you press the Show References button a window similar to the following will be displayed:

The first part (colored in blue) indicates the location of the script containing the broken reference, the part in the brackets indicates the place where the script lies- start scripts, end scripts advanced scripts etc.

The second part (colored in black) is the actual scripts containing the broken reference.

If you double click any of the lines in this window the relevant scripts will open in the designer:
