Working with SurveyToGo and MDM Applications

Overview

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a management application installed on a Device and focuses on controlling the entire device and requires that users enroll their device and install a service agent.

It is very common that Organization that provide their users with devices will want to control the device application installation, Connections and other settings that will prevent the user from wrongly using the device and another layer of security for the organization to manage the usage of the device.

There are many different applications in the market please find some examples of MDM software:

SurveyToGo and MDM Software

When you are planning to deploy the MDM software in your organization you should make sure of the below:

• Whitelist SurveyToGo Address - Make sure that the SurveyToGo address (server and URL) is white listed.
  
  • Please Note: The public address is: stg.dooblo.net/ws/
    If you are connecting to your private on premise server the address should be your server address.
• Content Sync - Set the SurveyToGo app to be synced over Cellular, WIFI, Internal network etc. 
• Resource Access - Allow access to device resources such as: Camera, Microphone, GPS etc. 

Please Note: Before Starting Fieldwork we strongly recommend to test the survey that is planned to be deployed End to End on either a public WIFI or Mobile Network to make sure everything is working as expected.
