Auto-Code Age Group Survey Sample

Overview

One of the common questions in surveys is the respondent’s age. Age is often used for quotas, screening, parent consent if required etc.

You would often want to capture both the actual age and as well the age group when certain ranges are given. In case the actual age was given, you would want the age group to be auto-coded based on the that age (rather than having the surveyor manually code the age group that can result with the wrong group coded). When the respondent is refusing to answer you would then want to show the age group so one of the groups can be selected.
