How To Customize Your CAWI Survey Display

Overview

This guide describes and explains how to customize your default survey display the Display tab settings  

Steps

  1. Navigate to Web Survey Properties - Display 
  2.  The display screen has a several basic elements that can be updated through the UI as follows:
    • Navigation Bar - Controls the different navigation bar settings
      • Show 'Home' and 'End' - will add additional buttons for Home & End 
      • Borderless - will remove the borders 
      • Hide 'Back' Button - will hide the back button from the display
      • Show 'Cancel Survey' - will show a 'cancel' button on the top left corner to cancel the survey
      • Format - will format the progress bar to show 1 of the 3 options
        • Empty - no indicators at all
        • Small - Page X
        • Full - Page X of Y
    • View Settings - Settings related to the general view.
      • Borderless Questions - will hide the border for questions
      • Borderless Survey - will hide the border for the survey
      • Minimum Spaces - when checked will narrow the spaces
      • Show 'Clear' Button - will show the clear button to clear the answers on the page
      • Hide Question Numbers - when checked will hide the question numbers
      • Show Progress Bar - when checked will show the progress bar
      • Question in Page - the amount of questions you would like to show in a page.
    • Fonts - Controls the font settings for Questions, Answers & Topics
      • Default Font - choose your default display font for the survey 
      • Question Font - choose your default display font for Questions
      • Answer Font - choose your default display font for Answers
      • Topic Font - choose your default display font for Topics
    • Navigation Buttons - Controls the navigation buttons settings
      • Next Button - Fore/Back Color for the next button and the text you would like to set 
      • Finish Button - Fore/Back Color for the Finish button and the text you would like to set 
      • Prev Button - Fore/Back Color for the Prev button and the text you would like to set 
    • Customize Display - This option will allow you to use your own customized CSS file and upload it here to override the default CSS file. Please click Here to learn more how.
